Route Edition LE
The R66 Orange Spongodes Route Edition was named by Route 66 Marine. Species identification was also done by Route 66 Marine. This coral develops thick plating bases. Also the surface is much smoother then M. setosa. Verrucae are also much less prominant then M. setosa. Under blue lighting the coral can appear more pinkish orange.
Reeffarmers is currently maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 8 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. Our business associate is currently trying to acquire the parent colony of this coral after the closure of Route 66 Marine. We will update this page with the status later.
Our system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate to weak light and moderate to strong water current. The first edition fragment of this coral was sold to a private customer. Recommended list price on March 10th 2015 was $80 for a small fragment.
