Colorful Mystic Sunset Montipora with Half Green and Half Turquoise Tentacles.
Tentacles are Basically Pigmentated as Two Different Colored Half Moons.
Main Coral Surface Texture is Smooth with Slight Hills or Bumps.

A double mystic sunset Montipora with the normal turquoise colored half polyp. Basically 5 to 7 turquoise colored adjacent tentacles per polyp. The second mystic or partial color in the polyp is a dark green. That pigment occurs in the center polyp section and within the smaller non-turquoise colored tentacles. Main smooth and slightly body surface is colored bright orange to red orange. Some of the green and turquoise polyp pigments may be grafting into the surface of the Montipora.
The R66 Megachrome Montipora Route Edition was named by Route 66 Marine. This Mystic-like Montipora contains a major twist with polyps that contian two distinct half colors. A very colorful encrusting massive Montipora possessing striking contrasts.
Reeffarmers is currently maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 8 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. Our business associate is currently attempting to acquire the main parent colony of this coral after Route 66 Marine ceased operations. We will update this web page later. Route 66 Marine had been distributing fragments of this coral to its store customers.
Our system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive weak to moderate light and moderate to strong water current. The first edition fragment of this coral was sold at Reef Currents 2015 to Rob McPheron. Recommended list price on February 19th 2015 was $145 for a small fragment.
