Limited Edition SC Orange Rainbows Sexy Corals Example Polyps.
The Sexy Corals Orange Rainbows have incredible rainbow colored ring patterns.
Polyp disks have outer pink to inner green rainbow ringed patterns.
Between the pink and green there is an orange rainbow ring.
Outer tentacles can also develop blue and pink pigments.

Another incredible polyp discovery by Sexy Corals (SC). The SC Orange Rainbows have banding rings of pigments that vary across a rainbow color pattern. The outer color band is bright pink. This pink then varies across to an inner orange band. The inner disk is dark green with also some fluorescent green patches. Some of the orange pigments can spot or splotch within the green center band. The polyps tentacles also participate in the rainbow pattern. The dark tentacles contain inner pink spots that give way to dark tentacle tips.

The Orange Rainbows were acquired by Sexy Corals during the summer of 2010. Mike believes these polyps were imported from Indonesia and they prefer medium light and low water current. Reeffarmers acquired our initial seed polyps of the SC Orange Rainbows directly from Mike at Sexy Corals.

Steve Tyree is maintaining a seed section of this coral for Reeffarmers.com in a 130 gallon Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive weak to moderate light levels from a 400 watt 20,000 K Radium metal halide. The price of this coral per single or double polyp will be determined by the first edition auction below.
