The exotic Hypnosis chalice can develop a hypnotic pattern of rings that almost
spirals around the main corallite eyes. This is the main Your Reef original
colony located within their main show reef. John only rarely harvests fragments.

An incredible psychedelic patterned chalice that was another diamond in the rough discovery by John Dakan of Your Reef. This particular psychedlic morph developed an extensive pattern of intensely orange red pigment splotches. Around the corallite eyes the patterns form into concentric rings that can have a hypnotic spiralling-like structure. The main base background color is green. There is also a pink pigmentation that can develop over surface areas.
John acquired the coral forYour Reef (YR) within an Indonesian coral shipment in early 2010. He recommends low light and medium flow. This seems to be one of those chalices that can be sensitive to strong light bleaching.
Steve Tyree is maintaining a seed section of this coral for Reeffarmers.com in a 130 gallon Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive weak to moderate light levels from a 400 watt 20,000 K Radium metal halide. The price of this coral per small fragment consisting of a single corallite eye will be determined in part by the first edition live auction that will occur in Orlando Florida during the 2011 SouthEastern Coral Farmers Marker (SE-CFM) on May 29th 2011.
