This new version of the Purple Kush Acropora stony coral develops bright purple corallite edges and walls. The branch stems develop a brilliant fluorescent lime green pigmentation. This color pattern is similar to the original LE Purple Kush from Wet Thumbs. Basically a brilliant purple and green coral that has exotic corallite shapes. The Gonzo's Purple Kush has corallites that are slightly raspy is shape. The Wet Thumbs Purple Kush had rounded corallites that were also slightly raspy. Polyps on the Gonzo version are whitish with some colorful pigments present.

Josh at Gonzo Coral Frags acquired this Acropora as an imported colony from Fiji during April of 2014. Josh recommends strong light intensity and strong water flow. Reeffarmers believes that this coral is very similar to the original Wet Thumbs Purple Kush and this coral could turn more purple under intense lighting conditions.

Reeffarmers is maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 8 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive strong to moderate light and water current. The first edition fragment of this coral is being sold on our Buy It Now web page.
