A very nicely colored blue millepora from Laser Lance in Fort Worth. The Blue is a lite shade with a little white cream color. Thus the corals name Frost Bite Millepora. Tips of branches and corallite edges can also develop a reddish pink pigment. Polyp tentacles extend during the day and have a more white cream blue coloration. The fragment image below shows all frost bite blue, while some of the red pink pigments can be seen on the parent colony image above.

Steve Tyree is maintaining a seed section of this coral for Reeffarmers.com in an 8 foot raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate to strong light levels from a 400 watt SE 20,000 K metal halide.
