The AC Signature Kracken Zoa has some very unique color contrasts. The polyp mouth is ringed with yellow and is surrounded primarily by a peachy pink pigment. There is also a spot of deep blue pigment. This center area is ringed with a bright yellow band that has outward radiating lines. The yellow band is surrounded by a dark sky blue band. That is surrounded by peachy pink patches and then more dark sky blue. Tentacles are striped green.
Nick at Addicting Corals imported this new zoa in a 2 box shipment from Indo in the fall of 2013. He says it is larger then most zoa polyps and is very hardy. Growth rate has been slow and they seem to prefer medium to strong water current as well as lower light conditions.
Reeffarmers is maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 8 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive weak to moderate light and current. The first edition polyp of this coral is being sold on our Buy It Now web page.
