Acropolis Hugos Rainbow Stag Garretts Acropolis Colony Closeup Imaged Under Partial Sunlight.
A very colorful medium thick staghorn from the former SniperSPS Collection.
Corallite ridges and branch tips develop bright pink red pigmentation.
New growth branch tips are cream colored which appears blue under 20,000 K.
Bushy polyps extend a cream white colored elongated tentacle.

The Acropolis Hugos Rainbow Coral is perhaps one of the most colorful medium thick staghorns that Reeffarmers has seen. Corallite ridges are bright red/pink. Branch ends can be pink, but also appear blue in outer new growth areas. The polyps themselves also fluoresce turquoise green under blue light. This staghorn coral has the potential to develop some fantastic pigments over time.

While attending Macna 2016 in San Diego, Reeffarmers ran into Hugo Zuniga (sniperSPS). We learned that Hugo had recently moved and unfortunately during the move he lost his prize collection of corals. At least one of his prize corals however had made it into the farming systems at Garrett's Acropolis. After Macna Reeffarmers acquired a seed of the Hugos Rainbow Stag directly from Steve Garrett.

Reeffarmers is maintaining a seed section of this coral in a 7 foot Raceway Gyre BiZonal system. This system is naturally filtered with a semi-cryptic zone and a reef flat exposed zone. In this captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate to strong light and moderate water current. The first edition fragment of this coral is being offered currently through Facebook and our email list. List price for the small fragment is $120.

Acropora Acropolis Hugos Rainbow Stag Reeffarmers Seed Imaged Under 20,000 K Halides.
The colorful qualities of this rainbow stag become more visible under bluer light.
Cream colored branch tips reflect the blue light and appear blue colored.
Polyp tentacles also fluoresce with turquoise green pigments.
