Pink Cadillac Montipora Reeffarmers Seed section. This is an incredible encrusting massive Montipora species.
The base of the coral has a pink orange pigmentation that lightens to a cream pink color at the corals leading growth edges.
Polyps are pigmented with a dark red coloration. This makes the polyps very distinctive and adds to the exotic nature of this coral.

The Pink Cadillac coral is an encrusting massive Montipora. The surface of the coral has an overall exotic bright pink orange pigmentation, while the polyps themselves are darker red. The center of the polyps appear to also have a darker pigment. The coral itself has been propagated in captivity for quite a few years. This is a very colorful coral that is worthy of the name Pink Cadillac. That name was originally coined a few years ago. Reeffarmers acquired our seed from Matt at ReefReady.net . The coral apparently originated from Mike at Rarefrags.com . Steve Tyree is maintaining a seed section of the Pink Cadillac Montipora for Reeffarmers.com in an 80 gallon naturally filtered Bi-Zonal Reef Aquarium. In Steve's captive reef the coral is positioned to receive moderate to weak light under a 400 watt 20,000 K Radium Metal Halide. The coral appears to require moderate to weak illumination to retain its pink coloration. The Auctioned Edition opening bid for each new auction is currently $70 per small fragment.
